Magnesium oxide is a white amorphous powder. It is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. The relative density is about 3.58 (25℃). Melting point 2852℃, boiling point 3600℃. Insoluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, soluble in acid or ammonium salt solution. After 1000℃ above high temperature burning, can be transformed into crystals.
